505XT Controller

The 505XT controller is designed to operate single valve, or single extraction/admission industrial steam turbines of all sizes and applications.

The 505XT controller also includes the following turbine protection functions to ensure that the turbine or its driven load (compressor, pump, generator) is not operated outside of its designed limits.

This user-friendly front panel allows engineers to access and program the unit to the specific plant’s requirements, and plant operators to easily start/stop the turbine and enable/disable any control mode.

  • Remote control panel for easYgen-3000XT

Remote control panel for easYgen-3000XT Series genset controls

Woodward’s RP-3000XT is a touch screen remote control and annunciation panel for use with the easYgen-3000XT Series controls. It is particularly useful with the back panel mounted easYgen-3100XT/3400XT, providing control from the front panel with greatly reduced wiring to the access door, while keeping high voltage connections located safely on the back panel.

The RP-3000XT allows remote control and visualization. It offers all the HMI resources that the display variant easYgen-3200XT/3500XT offers, but with state-of-the-art touch screen technology. Irrespective of the easYgen-3000XT variants, this compact HMI solution connects to up to 32 XT controls (select and access one easYgen-3000XT at a time).

  • HighPROTEC-2 Protection Relays

HighPROTEC-2 flexible, medium-voltage protection relays are designed for generators and power distribution applications. The relays monitor the electrical condition of equipment and disconnect its power source if a problem or potential problem is detected.
Nine versions of HighPROTEC-2 relays target different types of electrical applications including electrical feeders mains decoupling, and line protection as well as electrical generators, transformers, and motors. Each version has the flexibility to be configured to address the specific aspects of the application.

    HighPROTEC Protection Relay

HighPROTEC was designed for complete protection of power generating and distribution systems. Woodward HighPROTEC relays are furnished with a high-contrast graphic display. Ongoing measuring values, messages, alarms, and fault data are displayed in clear text. Guiding text assists the operator when setting parameters. The nominal voltage of the voltage inputs and the switching thresholds of the digital inputs can be adjusted via software. The wide-range power supply unit covers all standard auxiliary voltages, both for DC and AC.

    LS-5 Series

Woodward LS-5 Series are synchronizer controllers with integrated protective functions. They are designed to enable complex power management applications with multiple incoming mains and bus breakers in combination with easYgen-3400/3500 equipped genset controllers. The LS-5 devices will manage synchronization, loading and un-loading on each bus segment and send the required voltage and frequency references via CAN bus to the easYgen-3400/3500 genset controllers. Available in front and back panel mount housings.

    EasYgen – 3500XT

Woodward’s easYgen-3500 XT controls are designed to direct connect up to 690Vac and operate to 4000m above sea level without derating. The easYgen-3500XT is available in two packages. P1, focused at complex paralleling applications provides redundant Ethernet communication, LS-5 connectivity, and standard I/O set, while P2, Co-Gen/CHP model offers expanded onboard I/O set, 3-ph busbar voltage measurement capability and an interface expansion card slot for an additional interface/protocol.

    733 Digital Control

The Woodward 733 Digital Control manages and controls reciprocating engines (gas, diesel, dual fuel) used in power generation, marine propulsion, locomotive and industrial engine, and process markets. It has been designed to enable to be mounted directly on the engine or inside control cabinets. The 733 is available as a stand-alone speed control and is the main control unit within an engine management system. Designed for network connectivity, it may be programmed to perform all engine functions: speed, air and fuel control, monitoring, alarms, engine protection and sequencing

    723+ Digital Control

The Woodward 723 Plus Digital Control manages and controls reciprocating engines (gas, diesel, or dual fuel) used in power generation, marine propulsion, and gas compression/distribution. The control may also be used in cogeneration, power transmission/distribution, process management, pipeline pump stations, utility power generation, emergency standby power, and remote control station operation. The 723 Plus provides state-of-the-art control for new and retrofit situations.

2301E Digital Load Sharing and Speed Control

Woodward?s 2301E provides load sharing and speed control of generators being driven by diesel or gaseous engines. Using an external computer (PC) and built-in configuration software, application variations may be programmed to accommodate engine speed range, gear teeth, and select forward or reverse acting The 2301E controller is backward compatible with existing 2301D products using the same footprint and mounting configuration with enhanced features.

  • 2301A Load Sharing and Speed Controls

The Woodward 2301A Load Sharing and Speed Controls are designed for use in electric generator systems where multi-unit load sharing is desired. 2301A controls may be used with diesel, gas or gasoline engines, or steam or gas turbines. Controls are available for applications requiring droop and/or isochronous speed control; in forward- or reverse-acting models; for single or tandem actuator installations; with accelerating or decelerating ramps; and in several speed ranges. Automatic, adjustable start fuel limiting regulates the maximum fuel setting while the engine is starting.
